The Second Annual BRUSH COUNTRY PHOTO SAFARI is hosted by the City of Beeville and by Bee County, Texas.
Beeville County was founded in 1857 and is named after Barnard E. Bee, a Secretary Of State of the Republic of Texas.
The city of Beeville has evolved into a regional retail, hotel and restaurant hub for surrounding communities. Beeville was named a Texas Main Street City in 2005 and a National Main Street City in 2006 and 2007.
Travel and tourism is a growing industry for the county with emphasis on nature tourism including birding, wildlife photography and hunting. Culture and heritage are highlighted with the Barnhart Beeville Art Museum, the McClanahan House, the Berclair Mansion and several major festivals and events throughout the year. The Brush Country Photo Safari is one of these events.
The Yonder Inn will be the event headquarters. This spacious, modern hotel is centrally located at the intersection of US Highway 181 bypass and FM 351. Check in and late registration begins Wednesday afternoon 13 March 2019. Event participants will enjoy a special room rate (to be announced).
